Special Education Law

Special education is a collaborative process involving families and school staff. Parents and guardians are equal members of the IEP Team at every step.

The Special Education Law

Massachusetts regulation 603 CMR 28.00 and the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). Students may receive services if they have a disability that affects their ability to make effective progress in school and require specialized instruction or related supports to fully participate in their educational program.
