To improve quality of preschool programming, align with community preschools and to expand access to comprehensive services.
What is CPPI?
The Commonwealth Preschool Partnership Initiative (CPPI) program’s purpose is to continue to expand high-quality preschool opportunities for preschool age children through alignments of assessments and curriculum in both district and private preschool settings.The CPPI program is structured in a way that requires the New Bedford Public School, private preschool, and community agencies to work together.

How does CPPI connect?
Our Partnerships between New Bedford Public Schools and the community-based programs provide services and supports to each child within the CPPI classrooms by using a comprehensive service model.
Community Based
Provide services and supports for each child, family, and educator in CPPI classrooms, at home, and across the community.
Individualized
Partner with families and educators to create a plan tailored to each child’s individual needs.
Strenght Based
Build on families’ and educators’ strengths to grow their knowledge and skills.
Culturally Relevent & Family Centered
Respect each child and their family’s values, culture, and identity, and support families as active partners in their child’s learning.
Who are our CPPI team members?
Coordinator
Our coordinator ensures plans run smoothly, aligns services and systems, and reviews partner data to support children and families.
Instructional Coach
The instructional coach supports teachers, observes classrooms, reviews data, and leads training to help educators grow.
Special Education Teacher
The special education teacher provides IEP supports and uses Child Find screenings to identify children who may need further evaluation.
Wraparound
Our wraparound coordinator builds relationships to support children and families with their needs, while engaging and empowering families.
